Build your ideal racket with the Head Graphene Touch Adaptive rackets !
Head has also released an Adaptive racket for the new Head Graphene Touch Speed and Instinct racket lines. With a Head Adaptive tennis racket you have the opportunity to try out 32 different setups for your racket. This way you can adjust racket length, stringing pattern, weight, balance and swingweight to your wishes!
How does Head Adaptive work?
First of all, you must of course have access to a Head (Graphene Touch) Adaptive tennis racket. So these are from the new Speed of Instinct series. The Extreme, Radical and Prestige Adaptive rackets will undoubtedly follow later. You must purchase the Head Adaptive Tuning Kit separately. There are separate kits for the Speed and Instinct, so pay close attention! A Head Adaptive Tuning Kit contains the following:- 4 string pattern sets: light 16/19, heavy (+5 grams) 16/19, light 16/16 and heavy (+5 grams) 16/16. Choose a traditional 16/19 stringing pattern for a good mix of power and control or a more open 16/16 stringing pattern for more spin and power
- 3 'spacers' to adjust the racket length. Each spacer provides 0.2 inch (approximately 5 mm) of additional racket length. In addition to the standard racket length, there are 3 options for racket length
- 2 different butt caps (racket caps), each with their own weight: light and heavy (+5 grams)
All together this provides no fewer than 32 different options to 'customize' your racket!
Head Adaptive vs a 'normal' tennis racket
The countless options you have with a Head Adaptive racket are very cool and useful if you want to find out for yourself what the ideal racket looks like for you. However, if you already have a good idea of this, test the best 'normal' rackets and then make your choice. A 'normal' racket in your spec range will generally perform better than a racket with all these tuning options. To make room for these tuning options, for example, more space has been created in the frame at 3 and 9 o'clock, where a normal racket is more 'filled'. For example, the regular Head Graphene Touch Speed MP will play more stable than this Adaptive variant in the same setup. The RA values (stiffness) of the rackets will also differ. But despite that, the Head Graphene Touch Adaptive rackets are actually revolutionary!
