Diadem tennis strings: a revolution in strings!
The innovative American string brand DIADEM is known for the world's only star-shaped strings. In addition, the brand also markets one of the better round co-poly's as well as high-quality (and affordable) grips! Diadem recently also launched rackets that excel in comfort, spin and stability! The new American string brand Diadem has launched a unique string line after years of intensive research. The brand has developed the only star-shaped (Star Core Technology) co-polyester string line in the world.
The Diadem strings, grips, rackets and accessories are exclusively available in the mijnracket.nl webshop!
Diadem offers 3 string lines with this unique star-shaped construction: the Solstice Power, Solstice Pro and Elite XT series. In addition, the brand offers one of the better round co-poly's on the market with the Flash. The Impulse 16 is an ultra comfortable multifilament that works particularly well in a hybrid setup. The brand new Evolution is a new high-quality option as a cross string in a hybrid setup.
Below is an overview of the different Diadem strings with playing characteristics:
Solstice Power
The Diadem Solstice Power is a SOFT co-polyester string that combines power, spin and comfort. Due to the Star Core Technology (the star-shaped construction of the string), the strings have a lot of ball bite. However, due to the special string shape, there is also less friction from string to string, which ensures more snapback of the main strings, which allows the ball to be given extra rotation speed. The Solstice Power series from Diadem is the string with the most spin potential, because the ball is held in the string relatively longer before it is released. The Diadem Solstice Power is one of the most comfortable polyester strings on the market and offers very fine damping and a lot of elasticity for polyester standards. This Diadem string line is the most widely applicable and comes in the thicknesses 18 (1.15 mm), 17 (1.20 mm), 16L (1.25 mm) and 16 (1.30 mm).

Solstice Pro
The Diadem Solstice Pro series has a more robust, direct feel combined with a good dose of spin. Just like the Solstice Power series, this string also uses Star Core Technology. This star-shaped construction of the string provides extra ball bite and low friction from string to string for extra snapback of the main strings and therefore more ball rotation. The Diadem Solstice Pro is slightly stiffer than the Solstice Power and offers more ball control. With this string you have to put a bit more speed into the ball yourself, but you get fine control and spin in return. The Diadem Solstice Pro is available in a 16L (1.25 mm) and 15L (1.35 mm) thickness for open stringing patterns.

Elite XT
The Elite XT combines spin with 'explosive response'. This is the most direct string from Diadem and the most control oriented. The Diadem Elite XT is for the big-hitters among us who generate sufficient power and ball speed themselves. This string has by far the shortest ball-string contact for a very direct feel and maximum precision. This string also has the well-known star-shaped construction and offers a good ball bite, but the spin potential is slightly less than with the Solstice Power and Pro series, because the ball leaves the strings faster. The Diadem Elite XT is available in 18 (1.15 mm), 17 (1.20 mm), 16L (1.25 mm) and 16 (1.30 mm) thickness.

Flash
The Diadem Flash offers a crisp, lively playing feel and fine comfort for polyester standards. In addition, this round string offers above-average tension retention and ball feel. All this results in a very user-friendly co-poly, playable for a wide audience. The string is in line with the Yonex Poly Tour Pro, but plays a bit crisper and livelier. The Diadem Flash is available in a 17 (1.20 mm), 16L (1.25 mm) and 16 (1.30 mm) thickness.

Impulse 16
The Diadem Impulse 16 is a polyamide coated premium multifilament stringing with maximum comfort and vibration damping. In contrast to the other Diadem strings, this string is round. A full bed (length and cross strings) of the Impulse 16 provides maximum protection for the arm. The string is also often used as a cross string in a hybrid setup, combined with the Solstice Power or Pro as a length string. Gauge: 16 (1.32 mm).
Evolution
The Diadem Evolution is a very high quality polyamide monofilament string with a nylon base. This premium string is made in Japan. The string is extremely stretchy, lively and comfortable, but also durable enough in a hybrid setup with for example the Solstice or Elite XT strings. The Evolution then adds a good dose of comfort and vibration dampening. The Diadem Evolution also offers above average tension retention. Recommended for players who like to upgrade the ball rotation of an angled polyester string with extra comfort! Gauges: 17 (1.25 mm) and 16 (1.30 mm).
What does this revolutionary 'Star Core Technology' from Diadem do?
Spin: The six-pointed (star) shape of the string reduces friction between the main and cross strings. This results in much more freedom of movement (snapback) of the main string, a crucial factor in generating topspin. The ball is, as it were, caught in the strings and then catapulted.
