As is known, the Japanese brand puts a lot of research and technology into the development of a new product. This is no different with the new Yonex VCORE SV series:
- New Aero Fin Technology : the VCORE SV series has 16% less air resistance and 2.9% more swing speed thanks to this technology. For this purpose, Yonex uses special 'fins' at the top of the inside of the blade and on the outside of the frame at 10 and 2 o'clock. This ensures improved aerodynamics, resulting in more spin, a higher ball flight with more margin over the net and more ball speed
- SV Frame : the new NANOMETRIC XT Carbon on the inside of the top of the blade provides extra flex, so that the balls can be better 'packed' in the blade. The aerodynamic construction at the bottom of the blade provides extra stability and extra repulsion of the ball
- The well-known 'angled' ISOMETRIC blade shape provides a larger ideal hitting zone for the ball. Black Micro Core ensures more head stability and less vibrations and the 3D Vector Shaft provides more stiffness in the heart of the racket for extra power and stability
Playing characteristics Yonex VCORE SV 98 305 The Yonex VCORE SV 98 305 has a slightly stiffer feel compared to other Yonex racket families such as the EZONE DR or the VCORE Duel G series. For most players, this will take some getting used to and will feel slightly different than what they are used to from Yonex. On the other hand, this fits seamlessly with the playing characteristics and technology of this racket: spin and power. In that respect, the feel of the Yonex VCORE SV 98 305 is somewhere between the Yonex EZONE DR 98 310 and, for example, a Babolat Pure Aero . The first has a slightly softer feel and more touch and also a clearly lower RA value of 62. The second feels a bit stiffer and is clearly more power oriented and has an RA value (stiffness) of 69. 
What this Yonex VCORE SV 98 305 excels in is speed and agility on the one hand and power and spin on the other. The racket can be maneuvered very quickly due to both the new 'fins' for less air resistance and the low 31.5 balance. This makes the racket really fast! Gripping the ball is also quite easy, making playing with rotation (both spin and slice) a breeze. However, the control is still quite neat. The 16/20 stringing pattern offers a higher string density in the sweet spot than the aforementioned Pure Aero from Babolat. If ball feeling and control are important to you, then the EZONE DR and the VCORE Duel series are better options. 
All in all, the VCORE SV series is a worthy successor to the VCORE Si line. The feel of this Yonex VCORE SV 98 305 may be slightly different than you are used to from Yonex, but the racket absolutely does what it stands for: 'Spin it to the limit'!
