The past few weeks before Christmas I had the privilege of testing the new Dunlop Srixon CX 200 Tour 18x20. The frame's appearance has had a major makeover and that has worked out well for me. A beautiful frame to look at. In terms of specifications, not much seems to have changed. However, in addition to new technology, small adjustments have also been made to the frame's properties. For example, the RA value has increased slightly from 61 to 63 and the weight has been increased by 3 grams. I can remember from the previous version that the frame felt wonderfully soft, but had just a little too little swingweight. This update has a slightly stiffer feel, which gives you a more direct ball contact. In addition, the 3 grams of extra weight should give just that little bit more plow through. At least that's how it seems on paper. So get on the course quickly!

Baseline
From the baseline the racket feels good right away. What is immediately noticeable is that the sweet spot is larger than a 95 blade suggests. It plays as if you are holding a 98. The racket head speed is also enormous. You can create a lot of acceleration due to the low balance and the relatively small blade and narrow frame. This acceleration in combination with the extreme precision of this frame means that I do not want to put this Dunlop Srixon CX 200 Tour down for the time being. The new technology ( Sonic Core technology with Infinergy) ensures, among other things, that the impact of the balls is dampened. So well that I can easily play without a dampener. There are hardly any noticeable vibrations. I can hit both my forehand and my backhand without the balls flying over the back line. Backhand slices are also extremely precise. Reminds me of the Prince Textreme Tour 95 .
Volleys
This new Dunlop Srixon CX 200 Tour 18x20 plays really great at the net. Even better than its predecessor I can push balls hard against the lines. The frame is super maneuverable: a dream for every doubles player! There are no volleys that I don't hit well. Simply perfect. The spacious sweet spot also plays a very nice role at the net.
Service
Serving with this Dunlop is great. Due to the low balance and the slightly increased weight I can generate more than enough power. You can really hit it hard and the ball flies neatly within the lines 9 out of 10 times. Especially my slice service to the outside easily pierces itself into the wall due to the enormous angle you can make. Compared to my Yonex EZONE DR 98 I have less power. But because you can easily create acceleration you still get a lot of Km/h on the clocks.
Power
The Dunlop Srixon CX 200 Tour 18x20 has “Tour” in its name for a reason. It is a real precision tool. You will mainly have to generate power yourself. But this update has a little more punch than its predecessor. That also makes me think that lead tape is no longer necessary. In its shop form it has enough power as long as you have a full swing in house.
Conclusion
Dunlop has done a good job! The update has retained the good of its predecessor and has also received improvements in the area of plow through and weight. In short, a must demo for the strong player who is used to generating his own power and who is looking for the classic frame with modern touches.
