Baseline:
From the baseline stands this Dunlop SX 300 absolute are male! It racket feels very solid and trustworthy. Business that directly to stand out are the vibration damping, the spin potential and the massive feel by this racket. It racket has not the agility by for example An Babolat Pure Aero or Head Graphene 360 Extreme MP, but It has well An fuller and more solid feeling of play.
For mine feeling could I not Like this easy racket head speed to create as of the Pure Aero, Extreme MP or Diadem Nova FS 100, An other standout in this power- and spider genre. Despite found I the spin potential surprising Good. The SX 300 has not such extreme Open meshes as the Pure Aero or Extreme MP, but the spider found I almost equivalent. The Spin Boost grommets to assure evidently for more freedom of movement by the strings for more snapback and ball rotation.
I had honestly said by before not so much spin potential expected. Just as the predecessor by this racket (the earlier Through us tested Dunlop CV 3.0) is the vibration damping above average Good; It frame feels absolute not hollow On such as bee the necessary competition in this genre.
The Dunlop SX 300 is a true baseline weapon: the racket is built around power and spin, where the so-called solid playing feel and good vibration dampening are immediately noticeable. I found the maneuverability a bit less, but I have to say I got away with that with my groundstrokes.
Service:
It is quite easy to generate service power with this racket and to produce a full ball. Not surprisingly, the ball is easy to grip for effective kick - and slice serves. Easy serving with this SX 300.
Just:
At the net the SX 300 feels perfectly stable, but not very fast and agile. I play my own rackets with a leather grip as a base layer to pull the balance of the racket down a bit. In my opinion this racket lacks some handling speed at the net. Nevertheless, hard balls can be parried well, only the fine touch is a bit behind. Now I have to say that a slightly thinner string could add some feel. The supplied 16/1.30 mm Dunlop Explosive Spin stringing offers fine durability and spin, but a bit less feel.
Power/control Dunlop SX 300:
It is a clear power over control with the Dunlop SX 300! However, the stability of the frame and the extra margin in my strokes due to the good spin potential do offer some additional control. Only this frame is simply built to produce heavy balls from the baseline, and it does! So that you then give up some control is only logical.Comfort/arm friendliness :
I personally think it is a good trend that many typical power and spin frames nowadays also 'invest' in comfort. This was already visible in the latest version of the Pure Aero, but also in the Diadem Nova FS 100 that I recently tested. Typical power frames do not automatically have to be more taxing on the arm! The nice medium RA value (stiffness) of 65 of the SX 300 also shows this. I read that some people found the feeling of this SX 300 a bit too dampened compared to its predecessor and there is something to be said for that. The fact is that this racket has excellent damping properties, especially considering the competition in this genre.
