This update to the Wilson Juice 100 features two new technologies. Wilson has added Amplifeel 360 to the grip to reduce vibrations and provide a cleaner feel for the ball. The new Wilson Juice 100 also features Parallel Drilling: the grommet holes are drilled parallel to one another, enlarging the racket’s ideal contact zone. This makes the racket very forgiving and comfortable. The racket is in the same class as the Babolat Pure Drive.
The Wilson Juice 100’s credentials as a true power frame are evident in its wide frame profile and high RA value (stiffness) of 73. Combined with a relatively open 16/18 string pattern, this delivers plenty of power. However, the 16/18 string pattern and 100 sq/inch head size offer enough spin potential to control that power. Wilson positions the Juice racket line for the ‘all-court player’ who covers the entire court. The frame is indeed easy to maneuver and also feels stable at the net. Compared with its predecessor, this frame feels slightly stiffer and offers more power. The standard Wilson Sensation 16 multifilament strings provide plenty of ball feel and comfort, but slightly less control. Players looking for a little more control are advised to use a polyester or hybrid string setup with the Wilson Juice 100.
All in all, the Wilson Juice 100 has received an excellent update and is a highly versatile racket that offers excellent value for money!
