There is a lot to be found on the internet about the Wilson Pro Staff Classic 6.1 and the 6.0 version, but little is known about the 6.1 Tour Edition. In the 90s, this racket was available in the US as standard in a 16/18 string pattern. A few years after the release, the 18/20 version was released in Europe, after which it was also marketed in the US alongside the 16/18 version.

The Wilson Pro Staff Classic 6.1 Tour Edition features the well-known Pro Staff material mix of 80% graphite and 20% Kevlar. The addition of Kevlar provides extra strength and stability to the frame. The Swing Index of 6.1 indicates that this racket is suitable for players with a large, full swing. The PWS 'blocks' are strategically placed at 3 and 9 o'clock in the blade, which provides extra blade stability and reduces twisting on off-center hits.
This Tour Edition can be recognized by the white butt cap with the red Wilson logo and the letters UGZ above it. In addition, the text 'Tour Edition' is prominently displayed at the top of the blade and on the side of the frame. Stefan Edberg, a legendary player, played with this slightly more comfortable and forgiving Pro Staff Classic 6.1 Tour Edition in the latter days of his career after years of using the Pro Staff box-beam versions.
