Technology and playing features:

For the Clash V2, Wilson uses the Braid 45 technology as it is also used in the latest Pro Staff and Blade series. This technology is found in the hoop (the top) of the racket blade. The carbon fibers are 'braided' at a 45 degree angle for more stability higher up in the blade and for more ball pocketing/connection with the ball. This is actually the most important technical update of the Clash V2.

The Wilson Clash 100 V2 is a racket with incredible ease of use. The racket has a generous sweet spot, combined with a soft, comfortable playing feel.Just like the V1 versionis this racket very flexible (RA 55 for the V1 compared to RA 57 for this V2). This gives the racket a very whippy feeling. As if the ball gets a final push as if it were a whiplash. A good thing is that the stability has been (slightly) increased, without losing the Clash playing feel. Under pressure, the old version was pushed away a bit easier, this has now been improved somewhat. Do not expect the stability of a Blade or Pro Staff that are more stable at high speed, but the stability has been increased somewhat.

From the baseline, this racket excels in ease of play and a pleasant dose of free power. All this in a mega comfortable jacket. This racket is therefore certainly recommended for players with arm complaints, also partly due to the low balance point, which means there is little leverage on the forearm. This low balance also gives the racket its speed and maneuverability. Are you sometimes a bit late to the ball, with this racket you can still get away with that, without significant extra impact for the arm. The Wilson Clash 100 V2 has excellent service power and the low flex makes it easy to produce kick and slice services. You also clearly notice this spin potential from the baseline due to a fractionally longer ball-string contact. At the net, the racket is nice and fast, but not as solid as a Blade, for example.

Comfort Wilson Clash 100 V2

The great comfort was one of the reasons why the Clash V1 series was so well received. A racket line focused on power and comfort is rarely seen. Fortunately, the excellent comfort has remained with the Clash 100 V2 and we are very happy about that! Even with a more robust co-poly string (to add some control) this racket remains incredibly arm-friendly!
