With a new version of a successful racket, the question always arises as to what is new, apart from the paint job. There are 2 striking things about this Pure Drive 2021 racket family. What remains is the well-known round housing around the heart piece. ThisElliptic Frameconstruction provides the stiffness for explosive power.FSI Power technologyhas also remained and, thanks to the open 16x19 stringing pattern and special 'diamond' grommets, provides a larger sweet spot and more freedom of movement of the strings. It's newHTR System, where a new material construction ensures higher torsional stiffness, especially with balls at high speed. In practice: a more stable playing feeling.SWX Pure Feelis also new and provides better vibration damping, more ball feeling and a characteristic sound upon ball impact.

Playing characteristics Babolat Pure Drive +

The Pure Drive + is supposedly the extended (+0.5 inch) version of the new Pure Drive. This small amount of extra racket length does make a difference. This version offers more power than the regular version. This is immediately noticeable, especially with services. Another advantage of this extended version is more plough-through, or more mass in the ball. The maneuverability is admittedly not as good as beforethe 'normal' Pure Drive, but better than expected for an extended racket. With the Babolat Pure Drive + it is easy to produce heavy balls from the baseline, with spin (and slice) coming off easily. This is also a must to be able to continue to control the balls. This extended version has a slightly lower RA (stiffness) than the regular Pure Drive. Because of this, but certainly also because of the updated technology, the racket offers surprisingly good comfort for a relatively stiff racket. Recommended for players who want just a little more power and 'pop' than the regular Pure Drive.
