The new American string brand Diadem has recently launched a unique string line after years of intensive research. The brand has developed the only star-shaped (Star Core Technology) polyester string line in the world. The line consists of the Solstice Power for power and spin and the Solstice Pro for control and spin. In addition, Diadem also offers the Impulse, a round polyamide-coated multifilament string for comfort and feel that is strong enough to be combined as a hybrid with the Solstice Power and Solstice Pro. All strings come in a unique blue color scheme!
What does this revolutionary 'Star Core Technology' from Diadem do?
Spin
The six-pointed (star) shape of the string reduces friction between the length and cross strings. This results in much more freedom of movement (snapback) of the length string, a crucial factor in generating topspin. The ball is, as it were, caught in the strings and then catapulted. At the same time, the unique six-pointed string shape creates a larger contact surface for the ball for more grip on the ball (ballbite) and ball rotation. These two factors ensure unprecedented spin potential.
Lifespan
An important additional advantage of the reduced friction between the main and cross strings is the slower burning of the strings, which in turn is good for a longer life of the string. This also ensures longer shape retention of the unique texture of the Diadem strings. The strings 'round out less quickly' compared to most other angled strings.

All this technology ensures that the Diadem Solstice Power series combines a solid dose of power with enormous spin to control it. The extra grip on the ball also ensures razor-sharp slices and the ability to easily hit larger angles with your groundstrokes. In contrast to most other polyester strings, the string is extremely comfortable and the Solstice Power has excellent tension retention. The string is in the range of the Solinco Tour Bite Soft and the Babolat RPM Team, but offers more spin, better tension retention and retention of shape/texture. The Diadem Solstice Pro line is more low-powered and therefore ideal for players who generate sufficient speed themselves through a large, full swing. The Solstice Pro is slightly less elastic and therefore more control-oriented. Diadem also offers the option to combine the Solstice Power or Solstice Pro line with the Impulse, a multifilament string for a hybrid setup for extra comfort. The Impulse has a special polyamide coating so that it is strong enough for the sharp edges of the hexagonal Solstice Power and Solstice Pro.
