Today we have more than just a sneak-peek of the Dunlop Precision racket collection 2017 ! Dunlop comes with a new racket family full of technological applications.
The new Dunlop Precision racket collection 2017 that we were allowed to test consists of 4 brand new frames full of technological applications. The line will probably be further expanded to be able to serve players of all ages and levels. More about the 4 rackets and specs later, now first the technology behind this new racket line. Energy Core insert in the grip provides more feel. This insert is encapsulated with SRX grip shells for extra vibration damping. The Parallel Strung technology is used again in the blade. Similar to Wilson's Parallel Drilling, the holes for the tubings are drilled parallel to each other to enlarge the sweet spot. ' Glide Polymer ': special minerals provide 27% less friction between (tubings) and string. That gives extra power and spin. Finally, the hybrid construction of the shaft of the racket provides extra stability and power.
Then the 4 new rackets themselves. For convenience they are listed below with all the specs: Brand: Dunlop Model: Precision 100 Blade size: 100 sq/inch Weight: 295 gr Balance: 31.5 cm Stringing pattern: 16/19 Length: 27 inch Beam: 22 mm RA: 66
Brand: Dunlop Model: Precision 100 Tour Blade size: 100 sq/inch Weight: 310 gr Balance: 31.0 cm Stringing pattern: 16/19 Length: 27 inch Beam: 22 mm RA: 66
Brand: Dunlop Model: Precision 98 Blade size: 98 sq/inch Weight: 300 gr Balance: 32.0 cm Stringing pattern: 16/19 Length: 27 inch Beam: 22 mm RA: 66
Brand: Dunlop Model: Precision 98 Tour Blade size: 98 sq/inch Weight: 315 gr Balance: 31.0 cm Stringing pattern: 18/20 Length: 27 inch Beam: 22 mm RA: 66
What is striking is that all frames work with the same frame thickness (beam) of 22 mm. This beautiful slim frame construction ensures a traditional feel with the ball. Only the heavyweight (the Precision 98 Tour) from the Dunlop Precision racket collection 2017 works with an 18/20 stringing pattern. All other frames work with a more spin-friendly 16/19 stringing pattern. Team mijnracket.nl will soon put this to the test and put the Precision 100 Tour and Precision 98 Tour through the test. So keep an eye on us for reviews of these brand new Dunlop frames!
