At the end of September 2016, Head introduces a new material for its tennis rackets: Head Graphene Touch . Read all about this new material here.
In September 2016, Head will introduce the third generation of Graphene rackets, namely Graphene Touch. The Speed series (by Novak Djokovic) will be the first Head racket family to incorporate this new material. According to Head, graphene is the strongest and lightest material that can be used in rackets. By using this ultra-light material, especially around the heart of the frame, Head is able to move more mass to the top and the grip of the racket. This 'polarization' of the weight ensures more stable, more powerful frames without compromising the maneuverability of the racket. Head has been using this technology since 2013. Now Head is introducing the third generation of Graphene: Head Graphene Touch. Graphene Touch ensures a solid playing feel, but with a more dampening effect. This makes the feel of the rackets 'less hollow' at ball impact and can also be heard in the sound when you hit the ball.
Head has released a number of prototype Speed rackets with the Graphene Touch material in recent months. These rackets were, just like Babolat ProjectOne7, purely to gather information about the feel of the new rackets. The first Head Graphene Touch Speed rackets will be released at the end of September. We are looking forward to it and will personally put the rackets through the test.
