The new Head Prestige racket family has arrived! The Head Graphene XT Prestige S makes the Prestige accessible to a larger group of players by an all-round weight in combination with a dynamic 16/19 string pattern.
Brand: Head Model: Graphene XT Prestige S Head size: 98 sq/inch Weight: 305 gr Balance: 32.0 cm Stringing pattern: 16/19 Length: 27 inch RA: 62 Traditionally, the Prestige racket line from Head is the most control-oriented line that the brand offers. The Graphene XT versions of the Prestige remain true to their roots and guarantee fine ball control - and feel. The Graphene XT Prestige racket line is for players who put the speed into the ball themselves with a big, full swing. This is no different with the Prestige S; however, of all 4 new models, the Head Graphene XT Prestige S is the most accessible. Read why below.
The Head Graphene XT Prestige S may not be the lightest racket in the new Prestige series, but it is the easiest to play racket due to the combination of a 98 sq/inch head with a relatively open 16/19 stringing pattern for more dynamics. The Prestige Rev Pro is 5 grams lighter, but works with a 93 sq/inch Mid racket head with a very small sweet spot. The 32.0 cm balance point also gives the racket a bit more swingweight, or mass to swing through the ball. In all of this, the beautiful slim, straight and classic frame construction for the well-known ball feel and control of the Prestige series.
In terms of play, it is clear that the Head Graphene XT Prestige S is a very control-oriented racket. You have to 'swing' a lot to give the ball speed, but if you do, you get enough power in return. However, this is clearly a frame for players who prefer control over power. However, if you are a player who takes the ball quickly (a first striker as they call it at Babolat and Wilson), the Head Graphene XT Prestige S excels in control and an excellent ball feel in a well-manoeuvrable jacket. The spin potential is excellent due to the dynamic 16/19 string pattern. In terms of service power, this frame does not offer the free power of, for example, a Babolat Pure Drive or Pure Aero, but more feeling when you put all the power into the ball yourself and serve powerfully. For players who would like some extra hitting power in this control racket, a hybrid string setup with the Head Graphene XT Prestige S would be advisable. For maximum control, however, strung with a full bed (length and width) polyester string. Comparable rackets: Prince Textreme Tour 100P, Wilson Blade 98 and the Babolat Pure Strike 18/20 .
