Mijnracket.nl player Mike was fortunate enough to visit Wimbledon last Thursday! Here is an impression of his visit to Wimbledon 2017. The highlight was without a doubt Roger Federer in action on Center Court!

A special word of thanks for this 1-day 'lightning visit' to Wimbledon 2017 goes to Dunlop/Slazenger/K-Swiss . After a delicious lunch and a brief explanation of their tennis collections, we were free to explore the park and watch top tennis of course.Djokovic and Thiem
We kicked off with Novak Djokovic's final set against Adam Pavlasek. It was a relatively easy victory for Djokovic.
This was followed by Austrian Dominic Thiem against Gilles Simon from France, a nice match with quite long rallies for grass tennis. Thiem eventually won in 4 sets.
Court no. 18 and Henman Hill/Mount Murray
Our journey across Wimbledon Park continued past the legendary Court no. 18. The marathon match between John Isner and Nicolas Mahut took place on this court in 2010. A beautiful piece of tennis history!
We then took a seat on Henman Hill, or Mount Murray, to watch Roger Federer's first set against Dusan Lajovic on a big screen. There was a wonderful 'festival-like' atmosphere here!
Roger Federer in action on Center Court!
Then we were allowed to watch the last 2 sets of 'King Roger' on Center Court. What a great experience to see this tennis legend in action on 'his' Center Court! With a number of beautiful points, Federer won the match in 3 sets.
This beautiful tennis day ended with a delicious snack and drink. How wonderful it was to visit this Grand Slam tournament! What I personally also like is how the British maintain and honor their traditions. You can still see old-fashioned game schedules and a tribute to the British tennis great Fred Perry.
All in all, Wimbledon 2017 was a fantastic tennis experience!
