The latest version of the Graphene material, Graphene XT is 30% stronger than its predecessor, which should ensure better weight distribution in the Head frames and make the racket easier to maneuver. For the 2015 collection, Head has also introduced a number of frames with ASP technology: the Adaptive String Pattern. Today we at mijnracket.nl are reviewing one of the new Head frames with all the new bells and whistles: the Head Graphene Speed Rev Pro. Brand: Head Model: Graphene XT Speed Rev Pro Head size: 98 sq/inch Weight: 265 gr Balance: 34.0 cm Stringing pattern: 16/19 or 16/16 Length: 27.4 inch
What is immediately noticeable when you look at the racket specs is the light weight of the Head Graphene XT Speed Rev Pro: at 265 grams (unstrung), this is a frame that you would normally consider for a better youth player who is going to his first senior racket or for the senior who is looking for a lot of power from the baseline in a lightweight jacket. Due to the improved weight distribution in the frame thanks to the new Graphene XT addition, this racket still has quite a bit of swing weight, which gives the racket a very solid feeling from the baseline. By using the extra tubing edges supplied with the frame (to be placed at 3 and 9 o'clock), the regular 16/19 stringing pattern can be changed to the more open 16/16 stringing pattern for maximum grip on the ball for spin and slice. The small half inch of extra racket length seems to be a positive addition to this frame. The Head Graphene XT Speed Rev Pro is well balanced and the extra length makes the racket ideal for players with an ambidextrous backhand.
