Launched in 1996 as the Prince Extender Mach 1000 OS, this masterpiece from Prince was a racket that raised many eyebrows. The colossal 124 sq/inch (!) head, the 2 inch extra long frame length, the (inverted drop-shaped) Extender head and perhaps most of all the Mono shaft made this racket a real eye-catcher.
The addition 1000 stands for Power Level 1000, at the time the highest power level ever for a Prince racket. This 247 gram racket with the balance well at the top to maintain swing weight, was marketed for players with a short, compact swing. Fun fact is that Prince has brought back these power levels for the current collection: apparently a good and clear way to choose the right racket.
