The top 10 tennis products of 2022 by mijnracket.nl! Here are our favorites and the big winners of the past year. We had the opportunity to review quite a few great products again. Below are the absolute best of 2022. Click on the links to read the reviews (again).
1. Prince ATS Textreme Tour 98
With the new ATS Tour 98, Prince has delivered a top performance! This racket has a pro-stock feel with a great mix of control, plenty of power, and plough-through. Read our extensive review here. Also an honorable mention for the new ATS Tour 100P, the favorite racket of our guest blogger Luca.
2. Wilson Blade 100 V8
With the Blade 100 V8 Wilson has closed the gap between the 100L and the standard 98 versions. The familiar Blade feel, but at 300 grams with a 100 sq/inch head. One of the few truly control-oriented 100 sq/inch rackets on the market.
3. Head Speed MP 2022
The new Speed MP is a great allrounder: more punch than the Blade V8 above, but without going off the rails. An extremely stable racket with excellent dampening properties.
4. Yonex EZONE 98
The 7th generation of the EZONE 98 has been very well received in the tennis world: the familiar EZONE playability, but clearly more controlled than its 100 sq/inch siblings. According to several players, this racket goes back to the feel of the highly acclaimed DR version from a few years ago. The EZONE 100 has also received an excellent update.
5. Babolat Pure Aero 2023
The new Pure Aero 2023 retains the familiar Aero spin and power, but gains some finesse and especially control. And we think that's a good thing!
6. Wilson Ultra 100 V4
Finally you could almost say Wilson has managed to deliver a good alternative to the Pure Drive. The V3 was still quite stiff; this Ultra 100 V4 is more user-friendly and comfortable. More than enough power and (also not insignificant) the racket looks stunning.
7. Head Extreme Tour 2022
According to our tester Stephan, the Extreme Tour is a 'hidden gem' in the Head racket collection. It is by no means a typical Extreme. Yes, the racket is fast and has great spin potential, but it is very finely balanced in terms of power and control.
8. Head Boom Pro 2022
Where the Boom MP 2022 from Head is incredibly fast, the Boom Pro 2022 brings a very stable feel. Actually completely different from the Boom MP and thus a big surprise.
9. Wilson Clash 100 V2
Wilson builds on the success of the first version of the Clash. In addition to great looks and a logo that is 'engraved' in the racket, the Clash 100 V2 retains the comfortable, soft feel of the V1, only with slightly more stability on balls higher in the head.
10. Dunlop SX 300
The new version of the SX 300 from Dunlop is less 'clunky' than its predecessor and thus clearly faster. This makes the SX 300 much more accessible to the general public. Serious competitor for the Babolat Pure Aero.
