The top 10 tennis products of 2022 by mijnracket.nl ! Here are our favorites and big winners of the past year. We have been able to review many beautiful products again. Below are the absolute toppers of 2022. Click on the links to read the reviews (again).
1. Prince ATS Textreme Tour 98
With the new ATS Tour 98 Prince delivers a top performance! This racket has a pro-stock like feel with a great mix of control, sufficient power and plough-through. Read our extensive review here . Also an honorable mention for the new ATS Tour 100P , the favorite racket of our guest blogger Luca.
2. Wilson Blade 100 V8
With the Blade 100 V8 Wilson closes the gap between the 100L and the regular 98 versions. The familiar Blade feel, but then on 300 grams with a 100 sq/inch head. One of the few truly control oriented 100 sq/inch rackets on the market.
3. Head Speed MP 2022
The new Speed MP is a super all-rounder : more punch than the above Blade V8, but without flying off the bend. Enormously stable racket with excellent damping properties.
4. Yonex EZONE 98
The 7th generation of the EZONE 98 has been very well received in tennisland: the well-known EZONE playing ease, but clearly more controlled than its 100 sq/inch brothers. According to several players, this racket goes back to the playing feel of the widely appreciated DR version from a few years ago. Also the EZONE 100 has received an excellent update by the way.
5. Babolat Pure Aero 2023
The new Pure Aero 2023 retains the familiar Aero spin and power, but gains some finesse and especially control. And we think that's a good thing!
6. Wilson Ultra 100 V4
Finally you could almost say Wilson manages to bring a good counterpart to the Pure Drive. The V3 was quite stiff; this Ultra 100 V4 is more user-friendly and comfortable. More than enough power and (also not unimportant) the racket looks great.
7. Head Extreme Tour 2022
According to our tester Stephan, the Extreme Tour a 'hidden gem' in the Head racket collection. It is not exactly a typical Extreme. Yes, the racket is fast and has good spin potential, but is very nicely balanced in terms of power and control.
8. Head Boom Pro 2022
While the Boom MP 2022 from Head is especially incredibly fast, the Boom Pro 2022 a very stable playing feeling with it. Actually completely different from the Boom MP and therefore a big surprise.
9. Wilson Clash 100 V2
Wilson builds on the success of the first version of the Clash. In addition to great looks and a logo that is 'engraved' in the racket, the Clash 100 V2 with the comfortable, soft playing feel of the V1, only with slightly more stability on balls higher in the blade.
10. Dunlop SX 300
The new version of the SX 300 from Dunlop is less 'sluggish' than its predecessor and therefore clearly faster. This makes the SX 300 much more accessible to the general public. Serious competitor for the Babolat Pure Aero.
Thank you!
This way we would like to thank our testers Stephan, Mike and Luca, as well as all suppliers/brands and our partner Intersport Veldhuis. A special thank you goes out to BLTC Westerhout in Beverwijk, where we were finally able to organize our big racket test day again this fall after Covid! Speaking of which: Saturday March 25, 2023 is our next big tennis racket test day at the same location. So: SAVE THE DATE! See here for an impression of the most recent test day .
It remains for us to wish everyone good health and tennis fun for 2023! And hopefully see you soon!
