The Sony Smart Sensor is not yet available on the Dutch market. Wilson would take on the distribution, which is the case in Germany, but unfortunately not in the Benelux. More news about the applicability of the Sony Smart Sensor. The sensor can be used on the following rackets:
- The 2015 Wilson Burn, Blade and Pro Staff models. These rackets are marked 'Smart Sensor Ready' for clarity. Recognizable by the red racket cap/buttcap
- The Yonex VCORE Tour F and SI models
- All Prince Textreme models
- The Head Graphene XT Speed, Instinct and Extreme models from 2015, except the PWR versions. These have a shockstop buttcap for extra vibration dampening, where the Sony Smart Sensor cannot be plugged in

From now on Wilson, Head and Yonex (Prince will undoubtedly follow) are selling new loose racket caps, with which you can use the Smart Sensor. Replace your old racket cap with a new one and you are also 'Smart Sensor Ready'. Good to know is that Wilson has 2 different racket caps, one for all 2014 Pro Staff models and one for the 2014 Six.One and Juice rackets, which can also be used on the Steam 99S and the Steam 105S.

So?! We're waiting for the Sony Smart Sensor to come to the Benelux and the corresponding app to be set up for it. The applicability of the sensor is now more than fine, either with new rackets or by putting a new buttcap on your older racket. Until then, we'll have to make do with a nice video about the sensor:
