From now on, Wilson offers the opportunity to design your own racket! With
Wilson Custom rackets you can put together your own personalized racket from the Pro Staff, Burn or Blade series in terms of cosmetics.
Wilson Custom rackets: what does it mean?
Wilson now offers the opportunity to design your own racket in terms of appearance. You can choose from 2 Pro Staff, 2 Burn and 3 Blade models. Please note: you can only design your own racket in terms of appearance! It is not possible to adjust racket specifications (such as weight, balance, head size, stringing pattern, swing weight, etc.). There are numerous options to give your favorite Wilson racket a personal touch. First of all you can choose the color of the frame. You can also choose whether you want the racket to have a matte, glossy, velvet or frozen finish. The same applies to the colors at 3 and 9 o'clock in the blade. You can also choose the colors of the bumper and tubing edges and the Wilson logo. You can choose from 3 colors for the color of the racket family. You can then finish it off with (of course) the correct grip size, a white or black grip and your own text/name in the frame. Unfortunately it is not possible to choose a type of grip.
Wilson Custom rackets: which rackets is this possible with?
The new Wilson Custom rackets program is only available via wilson.com and can be used with the following rackets. With the
Wilson Pro Staff RF97 Autograph it is only possible to have your name placed in the frame. The entire range of 'custom' options is possible with the
Pro Staff 97 ,
Burn 100 CV , Burn 100S CV, Blade 98 18/20 CV,
Blade 98 16/19 CV and Blade 98S CV. Customizing your racket costs an average of about 50 dollars extra.
We hope that Wilson and possibly other racket brands will also offer the option in the future to have your racket customized in terms of specs. This is now reserved for professional and contract players in particular. In any case, this Wilson Custom rackets program is a nice first step towards 'custom' rackets!
