It's almost here: the new Wilson Pro Staff V13!
This 13th generation of the Pro Staff comes with a number of subtle adjustments without denying the well-known Pro Staff feel. The layout of this version is a nod to the first version from 1983.
New Wilson Pro Staff V13
The new Wilson Pro Staff series will include the following models: RF97, Pro Staff 97, Pro Staff 97L, Pro Staff 97UL and a 26 inch junior version. The specs will be discussed later, but for now, let's first look at the novelties. The RF97 remains the same and only gets an update in terms of cosmetics: the racket gets black and gray stripes on the frame and at the top of the racket blade. The real innovations are in the Pro Staff 97, 97L and 97UL.
The PS97, 97L and 97UL all work with Braid 45. The carbon fibers at the top of the racket blade are braided at a 45 degree angle. This improves the feel of ball contact (ball pocketing feel) and stability. In addition, these frames work with a higher string density in the sweet spot for more control. Finally, the rather pointy/sharp shape of the racket cap has been adjusted. It has become somewhat rounder, like the other performance rackets, for more comfort and a more ergonomic feel in the hand.
