For the next 5 years, Wilson has entered into a partnership with Roland Garros. From 2020, Wilson is the official supplier of both Roland Garros and the French tennis federation. This results in a number of beautiful limited edition products, including the Wilson Clash 100 Roland Garros and the Wilson Blade 98 16x19 V7.0 Roland Garros. A special bag line has also been developed, among other things.
The successful (and extensively tested by us) Wilson Clash 100 is therefore available in a limited edition version. This also applies to one of our favorite rackets at the moment: the Wilson Blade 98 16x19 V7.0. The stock of these rackets is limited, so be quick!

Playing characteristics
The Wilson Clash 100 Roland Garros was recently extensively tested by Mike. Here you can find the full test report. What makes this racket so unique is the outstanding feel and comfort, typical of a racket with a low RA value. This normally comes at the expense of stability and results in a low-powered package. NOT WITH THE CLASH 100! This racket combines the best of both racket types. On the one hand, you get a lot of touch, incredible dampening and a longer dwell time for excellent ball connection and spin potential.
On the other hand, you get the power and stability that a stiff racket traditionally offers. This is due to a completely new production process with 'Free Flex' and 'Stable Smart' technology. The low balance also makes this racket very maneuverable and fast. Thanks to the superb comfort and low balance point, the Clash 100 Roland Garros is also highly recommended for players with arm injuries!

Technology
The updated Blade 98 16x19 makes partial use of the successful technology of the Clash series. Feel Flex uses Carbon mapping to give the racket more torsional stiffness, but also more flex. This mainly gives the racket more connection with the ball, but also adds extra comfort without compromising the direct playing feel of the Blade! Another innovation is in the grip. The top of the handle tapers more than its predecessor. Players with a two-handed backhand can thus place their non-dominant hand more easily.
Playing characteristics
The Blade 98 16x19 V7.0 Roland Garros Limited Edition offers a nice blend of control with sufficient punching power. However, you will need to have a good full swing yourself, because it remains control over power with this racket. There are only two 98 sq/inch versions in this update of the Blade, this one and the 18x20 variant. This 16x19 version naturally offers more spin. The Feel Flex technology provides slightly more 'ball pocketing', which makes the rotation come off a little easier. Because the balance point has gone from 32.5 to 32.0, the racket has become even more maneuverable, which is especially noticeable at the net. The racket is fast and easy to get into position. The comfort has also improved. This update with Feel Flex provides a nice low RA value of 62. This gives the racket a touch that was not previously the case with a Blade. You have more connection with the ball and touch volleys or drop shots can be placed with a lot of feel and precision! All in all, a strong update of the Blade 98 16x19!
