For 2016, Wilson will introduce a new racket line for the 'Allcourter', the Wilson Ultra XP racket line. This new line should offer 'the most powerful rackets on the market'. Read more about what we can expect from the Wilson Ultra XP rackets.
The addition XP in this new Wilson racket line stands for Xtra Power. Ultra High Performance Carbon Fiber provides extra stiffness in the Ultra XP frames, good for extra power. In addition, Wilson has released a new frame construction on this racket line. This so-called Power Profile Frame Geometry ensures less air resistance and super direct ball contact. All frames that become available for the European market have the Wilson Spin Effect Technology. This means: extra open stringing patterns for more grip on the ball for more spin and margin in your shots. All Wilson Ultra XP rackets are 1/4 inch longer, all for extra power. Below is an overview of the new Ultra XP rackets for 2016 with their specs:
- Wilson Ultra XP 100 S: 100 sq/inch, 290 grams, 33.0 balance, 16/15 string pattern, 27.25 inch length
- Wilson Ultra XP 100 LS: 100 sq/inch, 266 grams, 34.0 balance, 16/15 stringing pattern, 27.25 inch length
- Wilson Ultra XP 110 S: 110 sq/inch, 265 grams, 35.0 balance, 18/16 stringing pattern, 27.25 inch length
What is striking about the specs is that the Wilson Ultra XP rackets are light, with maneuverability and power being the most important principles. The balance of the rackets is slightly more towards the top for extra mass through the ball for more hitting power. According to the Wilson Player ID system, the Ultra XP racket line is for the so-called 'Allcourter', the player who covers the entire court. The previous racket line for this 'Allcourter', the Juice racket line, will no longer be extended in the Wilson collection in 2016.
As soon as team mijnracket.nl has these frames in hand, we will put the products through the test for you!
