Yonex novelties
Last autumn, Yonex launched the new VCORE SV series with the slogan 'Spin it to the Limit'. This line succeeds the VCORE Si series and offers even faster rackets with Spin Vortex (SV) technology. Also in autumn 2016, a limited edition blue (Nick Kyrgios) colorway of the EZONE DR 98 and DR 100 was released. This is temporarily offered alongside the standard black/lime colorway. The VCORE Duel G series continues unchanged for 2017. The VCORE Tour F line has been partially incorporated into the VCORE SV series and partially into the VCORE Duel G series. It is therefore no longer in the collection.
Isometric blade shape
Yonex has long been known for the Isometric blade shape. This 'angled' blade shape provides a sweet spot that is 7% larger than conventional rackets. All Yonex rackets use this distinctive blade shape.Weight classes
A number of rackets are available in different weights. In that case, an addition of G, LG or HG is placed in brackets after the racket. G is the base weight of around 300/310 grams, LG is the lighter version of around 280/290 grams and HG refers to the heaviest rackets with a weight of around 330 grams.VCORE - SPIN
The Yonex VCORE series consists of the VCORE Duel G and the VCORE SI series and they are all designed for spin. VCORE Duel G The new racket line from 'Stan the Man' Wawrinka contains the following technological applications:- Tough G Fiber is implemented in the shaft: this material provides extra flex of the racket, which is good for a higher 'kickback' speed (the frame returns to its original position faster) for extra spin and power
- Lock Booster System: a new tubing system on the sides of the blade that through new curves where the string lies over it, provides extra freedom of movement of the string and thus more power and spin
- The well-known Isometric (angled) blade shape provides a larger ideal hitting zone for the ball
- 3D Vector shaft provides an increase in stiffness in the heart of the racket for extra power and for less twisting of the racket blade
- Black Micro Core technology at 10 and 2 o'clock in the blade for more blade stability and vibration damping

- New Aero Fin Technology: the VCORE SV series has 16% less air resistance and 2.9% more swing speed thanks to this technology. For this, Yonex uses special 'fins' at the top on the inside of the blade and on the outside of the frame at 10 and 2 o'clock. This provides improved aerodynamics, resulting in more spin, a higher ball flight with more margin over the net and more ball speed
- SV Frame: the new NANOMETRIC XT Carbon on the inside of the top of the blade provides extra flex, so that the balls can be 'caught' better in the blade. At the bottom of the blade, the aerodynamic construction provides extra stability and extra repulsion of the ball
- The well-known 'angled' ISOMETRIC blade shape provides a larger ideal hitting zone for the ball. Black Micro Core provides more blade stability and less vibrations and the 3D Vector Shaft provides more stiffness in the heart of the racket for extra power and stability

EZONE - SPEED
The EZONE racket line from Yonex is made for speed. This latest update of the EZONE series contains the Nanometric DR material in the top of the racket blade between '10 and 2 o'clock'. This material provides a better snapback of (the top of) the blade so that it returns faster to its original position for even more ball speed. This also contributes to extra blade stability, especially noticeable with off-center hits. New tubing in different shapes provides less shock load and more frame-string interaction and thus effectively a larger sweet spot. The Dual Shut System with added Quake Shut Gel in the handle provides extra vibration damping for the most comfortable EZONE to date. The EZONE DR rackets offer up to 7% more ball speed than regular rackets.
