The ASICS Solution Speed gets an update with FlyteFoam (FF)
The Solution Speed by ASICS is one of the most popular tennis shoes on the market. This lightweight speed devil now gets a successor with FF or FlyteFoam in the midsole. FlyteFoam has been used by ASICS in running shoes for about 2 years. Now it's the turn of the tennis shoes. FlyteFoam is up to 55% lighter than standard midsole materials. In addition, the organic fibers used for this return to their original shape after loading. This ensures long-lasting high-quality cushioning over the entire life of the shoe. The ASICS Solution Speed FF is therefore not only lighter, but also more comfortable than its predecessors.
In terms of fit, the shoe returns to this fit of the Gel Solution Speed 2. Version 3 was slightly narrower, this Solution Speed FF is slightly wider than the Solution Speed 3. This makes the shoe playable for a wider audience. The upper of the shoe has also been significantly adjusted. The upper continues to offer good durability and forefoot support, but feels slightly less wrapped.
The ASICS Solution Speed FF comes in 2 sole types. The clay profile has a deep herringbone and is suitable for gravel, artificial grass and smash court. The 'normal' sole with pivot points on the forefoot is great for gravel, but also for hard court. After the
strong Mizuno Wave Exceed Tour 3 and the Nike Zoom Vapor X, this is another good update of a speed shoe. This genre of shoes is clearly on the rise.
