The Babolat Pure Control racket line is the successor to the Pure Storm series. The new name clearly emphasizes what the line stands for: the control frames of Babolat. With the addition of the Flex Carbon material, this line provides more flex and comfort, which significantly improves the playing feel.
The Babolat Pure Control Tour has the classic box-beam (square, flat) construction, which is already good for classic control and feel. The racket has a fair amount of weight at 320 grams, but the 'swing weight' is not particularly high. This makes the racket very manoeuvrable for a racket in this weight class, while you do have the advantages of a lot of mass behind the ball and therefore stability. However, this does require large, full swings from the player. You will therefore have to generate the speed yourself through your full stroke. All this makes the Pure Control Tour an ideal racket for the big hitters among us.
At the net : Thanks to the low balance of 31.0 cm, the racket is easy to handle.
Groundstrokes : The 16/20 stringing pattern offers an excellent balance between spin, durability and control.
This racket is particularly suited for players with a large swing who tend to overheat. The Babolat Pure Control Tour offers the control that this group of players needs and gives clearly more feeling than its predecessor, the Pure Storm Tour.
