Intro:
The Elevate V2 series was already well received in the tennis world, with a perfect mix of power and control and a lot of comfort. With the new Elevate V3, Diadem has surpassed itself again. The specifications have remained largely the same, but the most important improvement is in the tube construction of the frame. In addition to the existing FS (Flex Stabilization) technology , which ensures flex and stability, Kraibon has now been added. This rubber material filters harmful vibrations and ensures an even more stable feeling with extra energy return. The frame is also completely filled with foam for extra comfort. The new, chic dark blue color scheme with a satin finish is also certainly worth mentioning.
Baseline Diadem Elevate 98 V3:
From the first ball contact, the stability of the Elevate 98 V3 is immediately noticeable. It feels like you are playing with a Wilson Pro Staff 97 , but with more user-friendliness and forgiveness. The racket is very solid and absorbs the impact on the arm excellently. Mike tested the racket with two different string setups: Diadem Pro X 17 at 23/22 kg and Flash 16L at 24/23 kg. Both setups ensured that no shoulder complaints occurred, which Mike really appreciated.
Groundstrokes feel very consistent, with enough spin without the ball bouncing too high. The balance between power and control is nice: the racket offers enough punch, but everything remains controlled. The 16x20 stringing pattern provides a good mix of power, control and spin, with direct steering over the ball.
Service:
The serve with the Elevate 98 V3 doesn't offer a lot of extra free power, but the control is excellent. You do have to put some power into your serve yourself, but kick and slice serves come out well with this string.
Just:
The net game with the Elevate 98 V3 was one of the highlights of the test for Mike. The racquet is very stable on hard incoming balls, while also offering finesse for fine stop volleys. The touch in this blade is impressive and allowed Mike to produce great stop volleys.
Power/control Diadem Elevate 98 V3:
The Elevate 98 V3 offers a nice balance between power and control, with an emphasis on control. This is a racquet for players with a full swing who are looking for a racquet that gives them control without giving up too much power. The spin potential is also fine, and the liveliness of the frame feels just a little bit better than its predecessor.
Comfort/arm friendliness:
Comfort is without a doubt one of the Elevate 98 V3 's strongest points. This is one of the most comfortable rackets in its genre, making it an excellent choice for players who don't want to sacrifice control but are looking for an arm-friendly option. Players with arm problems will benefit greatly from this.
Diadem Elevate 98 V3 bottom line:
In addition to the beautiful new look, the Elevate 98 V3 has also been improved on a technical level. The stability at ball impact is unmatched, and the mix between power and control is perfectly balanced. The racket offers enough power without being too low-powered, and the spin potential is more than okay. The two stand-out features are the stability and the comfort/arm-friendliness. A great update for players looking for a solid racket with a great playing feel!
