Roger Federer's old racket tuner as inspiration, a specially developed string line, copper and 'exclusively' to be strung by certified stringers: Dunlop Natural Tennis all sounds very exciting. Can the high expectations be met? Today the mijnracket.nl team reviews the Dunlop NT Revolution 3.0. Brand: Dunlop Model: NT Revolution 3.0 Head size: 98 sq/inch Weight: 310 gr Balance: 31.2 cm Stringing pattern: 16/19 Length: 27 inch
The top model of the Dunlop Natural Tennis racket line is the Revolution 3.0. This model is the heaviest racket in the NT line with 310 grams and has a 31.2 headlight balance. Although the first test results of this new line are not yet in at the time of writing, we cannot resist discussing this racket with you. First, the technology behind this line explained:
- Copper Wire Construction: Copper wire in the grip construction runs from the blade of the racket to the butt cap (cap at the bottom of the racket). Over the entire length of the grip, this copper wire is in a silicone bed, which ends in a silicone bubble at the cap. The result is less vibration to the arm
- Copper Layer Grips: provides extra cushioning in conjunction with Copper Wire Construction and has an antibacterial effect
- The Natural Tennis strings have a special coating which means that they should not slide at all during the first 12 hours of tennis after stringing (exciting!) and should retain their playing characteristics longer than average. All rackets are supplied with hybrid (different lengths and widths) strings. A seven-sided main string for extra spin and a round, more elastic cross string for touch and comfort. Both are polyester strings. Stringing is apparently only possible by specially certified Natural Tennis stringers.
- NT stringing system: the so-called SMF stringing system is adapted to swing style, playing level and expectations of the tennis player. For each playing level there are 3 different stringing schemes with increasing properties
