Tester:
First of all, let me introduce myself: I am Barend Hollenberg and a fanatic tennis enthusiast. I used to play tennis until I was 11 and because of 3x training with football and 2x with tennis I decided to continue playing football. Sometimes you don't know which sports are the best, but now you do! For me, the best thing about tennis is that it consists of different aspects that are very important. I especially like the mental battle that is fought. You really have to do it yourself, or with someone else! When I got the chance to test tennis strings, rackets and different accessories, I grabbed it with both hands. It's great to keep up to date with the latest techniques in this wonderful sport. Name: Barend Hollenberg Playing strength: 5/5 Type of player: Modern player. Clay fanatic. Lots of spin and a lot of power. Forehand as a weapon, backhand as a build-up. Very frequent string breaker. Racket:
Head Graphene Prestige MP . (98 sq/inch, 18x20 stringing pattern) String hardness: 24/23 kg at stringing range of 22-26 kg. Favorite string player:
Diadem Solstice Pro 16L Player's racquet history: Head Graphene Speed MP,
Babolat Pure Strike 18x20 and I recently switched to Head Graphene Prestige MP.
Enduraspin test:
The spray was used with the previous version of the Babolat Pure Strike 18/20. Used once with worn strings and twice with newer strings. The string is the
Diadem Elite XT 16L (1.25 mm). After applying the spray, generating spin seems to be a bit easier. Especially with the older string. The spin is comparable to the star-shaped string of Diadem when it has just been placed in the racket. After some time, it becomes a bit rounder again due to wear, which counteracts the spin somewhat. With this spray, the spin potential seems to have increased again. You notice this in more control and "grabbing" the ball. With the newer string, you notice less of the spin potential. It seems to generate more spin when the string is a bit older and rounder.
The increased durability is difficult to estimate. Perhaps the optimized snapback of the string makes the string slightly more durable. Increased snapback meant for me that the string feels a bit less stiff, which has less friction from string to string and could therefore offer possible increased durability. The increased power that this should generate has not been noticed and has not been demonstrated with this racket and string combination. Perhaps this will emerge with a different combination. As a conclusion, it can be said that the spin potential increases somewhat after spraying the strings. After 20 minutes you notice that this decreases again, which means that Enduraspin has to be applied again. All in all, it is a useful spray for increasing spin, but in terms of increased durability and power, it has not been shown that this actually happens.
