The Instinct racket line stands for 'effortless power' at Head, power without effort. The new Head Graphene XT Instinct MP that we are reviewing today is indeed the all-rounder that plays easily and is widely applicable. The racket is in the range of the Babolat Pure Drive , offers a lot of touch and has a comfortable feel. The new look is debatable, but due to the redistribution of the weight in the frame, it is easy to maneuver and the Head Graphene XT Instinct MP offers a lot of power and spin. The 16/19 stringing pattern with enlarged grommets (tubing) at 3 and 9 o'clock provide a large sweet spot and an extra bit of vibration dampening for off-center hits. The only downside that we could find in the first test results is that the torsional stiffness leaves something to be desired for some players. If this is a hot topic for you, you would be better off going for a racket from the Prestige, Speed or possibly Radical line.
