Introducing the new Blade Series
Serena Williams will be playing with this new racket from January, and at the same time Wilson is launching the rest of the new Blade series. The frame was chosen in close consultation with Serena and has a matte black color with gold accents. The bright green color at 3 and 9 o'clock in the blade symbolizes the Blade racket family. From 2017 all Wilson performance rackets will have recognizable color accents in the blade.
New technologies
This Blade series uses Countervail technology, originally developed for NASA. Countervail is an advanced carbon fiber that reduces vibration and lowers the impact on the arm, without sacrificing performance, stability or response. This should result in less fatigue and more comfort for the arm and shoulder. In addition, the Blade series retains the existing PowerHoles technology at 3 and 9 o'clock in the blade and Parallel Drilling for an enlarged sweet spot.
X2 Ergo Handle
