Since 2015, Wilson has been using a new segmentation for its various tennis racket 'families'. This reclassification of the various racket families should make it easier to find the right Wilson racket. Below are the various racket lines and for which type of player they would be suitable.
Burn – Baseliner For The 2015 collection of Wilson has added a whole new line: the Burn. Partly the successor of the Steam 'family', partly new to serve the modern tennis player. This racket is namely extremely suitable for players who want to play dominantly from the baseline . This racket line also has no less than 3 spin variants and 2 frames with traditional stringing patterns. Rackets from the Burn line are:
- Burn 100 S: 100 sq/inch, 303 gr, 33.0 balance, 18/16 stringing pattern
- Burn 100 LS: 100 sq/inch, 280 gr, 32.5 balance, 18/16 string pattern
- Burn 100 ULS: 100 sq/inch, 260 gr, 33.5 balance, 18/16 stringing pattern
- Burn 100: 100 sq/inch, 300 gr, 32.5 balance, 16/19 string pattern
- Burn 100 Team: 100 sq/inch, 267 gr, 33.0 balance, 16/20 string pattern
Blade – Attacker The Blade line is suitable for the heavy boys: the players with a full swing who play aggressively and offensively. In terms of beam (frame thickness) a lot narrower than the Burn line and flatter in terms of housing in the shaft, this racket gives a lot control for players who already generate more than enough speed by their big full swing. Rackets from the Blade line are:
- Blade 98 S: 98 sq/inch, 294 gr, 33.0 balance, 18/16 string pattern
- Blade 98 18/20: 98 sq/inch, 304 gr, 32.5 balance, 18/20 string pattern
- Blade 104: 104 sq/inch, 289 gr, 32.5 balance, 18/19 string pattern
- Blade 101 L: 101 sq/inch, 274 gr, 33.0 balance, 16/20 string pattern
Pro Staff – Attacker The classic in a new guise: the new racket line by Roger Federer. In 2014, there was a lot of fuss about this racket, for example Federer tested these frames in a mysterious solid black version. With a head size of 97 sq/inch, this racket offers more power and a larger sweet spot compared to the Pro Staff Classic or the Pro Staff Six.One 90 (or even the Pro Staff Six.One 95), but the racket retains its pure classic solid feel. The line par excellence within the Wilson collection for players who are looking for maximum ball control and feel. The old and successful Six.One line by Wilson has been incorporated into this line. Rackets from the Pro Staff line are:
- Pro Staff RF 97 auto: 97 sq/inch, 340 gr, 30.5 balance, 16/19 string pattern
- Pro Staff 97: 97 sq/inch, 315 gr, 31.0 balance, 16/19 string pattern
- Pro Staff 97S (Dimitrov): 97 sq/inch, 310 gr, 33.5 balance, 18/17 stringing pattern
- Pro Staff 97 LS: 97 sq/inch, 290 gr, 32.5 balance, 18/16 string pattern
Juice – All Courter The all-rounder from Wilson is the Juice. The wide frame provides a lot of power, which means that players of almost all levels can be served with this racket line. Players with a short, compact swing should also be able to get along fine with a Juice racket. The racket is very maneuverable for play from the baseline as well as at the net. The wider frame provides a lot of power and comfort for the arm with fairly good retention of ball control. Rackets from the Juice line are:
- Juice 100 S: 100 sq/inch, 304 gr, 32.0 balance, 16/15 string pattern
- Juice 100: 100 sq/inch, 304 gr, 32.0 balance, 16/18 string pattern
- Juice 100 L: 100 sq/inch, 279 gr, 34.5 balance, 16/18 string pattern
- Juice 100 UL: 100 sq/inch, 262 gr, 34.0 balance, 16/18 string pattern
- Juice 108: 108 sq/inch, 279 gr, 33.5 balance, 16/19 string pattern
