Wilson RF Legacy All Court tennis ball tested

Wilson has launched a new ball for Roger Federer's comeback, co-developed by Roger himself! We have already tested this Wilson RF Legacy All Court tennis ball . In the past few weeks, team mijnracket.nl players Mike and Stephan were among the very first to have the opportunity to test the newest tennis ball from Wilson. The Wilson RF Legacy All Court tennis ball, as the ball is called in full, offers good durability, a stable ball flight and a nice touch. Admittedly, I was a bit skeptical about this new Wilson RF Legacy All Court at first. Could this not just be a Wilson US Open in a different package? There was only one way to find out: put the ball through its paces! We tested the new Wilson ball intensively for more than 3 hours in the hall on carpet. The first impression of the ball was that it feels solid, but not too heavy. In that respect, the ball is somewhat similar to the Dunlop Fort Max TP with a little more playing comfort. I find the Dunlop Fort Max TP, fresh from the can, sometimes a bit heavy on the arm. That was not the case with this Wilson ball. The ball has a stable, predictable flight and does not feel as 'floaty' as the Wilson US Open when it is fresh out of the can. With the Wilson US Open, I have the feeling that when the balls are still relatively fresh, they float a bit more. Because of this, I sometimes have the tendency to have to comb the ball a bit more (spin) to keep a bit of margin in my strokes. Of course, this also has to do with the temperature and surface. On a warm competition day, the game simply goes faster. We tested this Wilson RF Legacy All Court under 'normal' conditions in the hall on carpet. The ball simply has a very predictable, stable flight, which allowed me to go for my strokes with confidence. After a good three hours of intensive tennis (singles) on carpet, the ball still feels fine. The ball becomes a bit fluffier, but the tension is still fine. The durability is therefore more than fine, both in terms of felt layer and pressure. In that respect, the Wilson RF Legacy All Court is a ball that clearly lasts longer than the US Open. There is also enough feeling/touch in the ball. The ball does not feel too hard, but also not too light. The Wilson RF Legacy All Court is clearly a different ball than the well-known US Open. The ball is clearly more durable and performs/plays more consistently, but also offers sufficient touch. The chic appearance of the tin and the accompanying letter from Roger himself are less important, but a nice addition. Want to try this ball yourself? The Wilson RF Legacy All Court in a tin of 4 balls is now available in our webshop!
