Playing characteristics Babolat Pure Strike 98 16x19:

This version of the Pure Strike is extremely reliable from the baseline. Here the racket offers a good mix of power and control. The swingweight is a bit on the high side with 330, so you will have to deliver yourself in terms of stroke and racket head speed. If you do this, you will easily get power and length in your strokes in return, without having to worry about overheating. However, if you have an average swing yourself, check out the slightly more accessible Pure Strike 100 16x20. This update retains the well-known crisp, Babolat playing feel, but adds some extra feel due to the lower RA. In other words: the racket feels positively stiff, but the lower RA takes the edge off. The spin potential is solid, nicely matching this frame.

At the net the racket may not be super agile, but it is solid as a rock. Hard balls are easy to parry with confidence.

If you have some muscle in you, you will definitely appreciate the increased swingweight when serving. Mass = cash in this case! If you really push through, the racket will do the rest for you. Kicks and slices are fine, but controlled.

All in all, a great update to the Pure Strike 98 16x19, with the improved playing feel and higher swingweight being particularly noticeable.
