The Babolat RPM Blast has been one of the better strings for spin and control for years. The Babolat RPM Blast is octagonal. This 'angled' construction provides extra ball bite. The special 'Cross Linked Silicone' coating of the string ensures that the main strings easily slide out of position, and then immediately snap back into position. This extra snapback, as it is so nicely called, provides extra ball rotation/spin! The solid core of the string contributes to ball control. The Babolat RPM Blast is a medium-stiff co-polyester string. It is recommended to string this string at least 10% lighter than average.
