The Babolat Pure Aero Gen9 offers a superb mix of power, spin and speed! For this update, Babolat has adjusted the shaft geometry for improved aerodynamics: the racket swings absolutely faster! The updatedNF2 Tech 2.0 technology filters out harmful vibrations without compromising the direct feel and feedback the racket provides on ball impact.
What remains is the signature Pure Aero power and spin, only with slightly more ease of use and comfort. We had the opportunity to test this racket well before its official release in a prototype version/colourway. The adjustment to the heart of the racket has made it even faster, allowing you to still get plenty of rotation and depth even with a flatter shot, without having to adjust your stroke.
With previous versions of the Aeros, we often found that you really had to get deeper into your grip to generate more spin and tame the power of this racket, but this Babolat Pure Aero Gen9 also works excellently for players who do not generate a huge amount of spin themselves: the racket does the work for you, even if you only brush lightly over the ball.
All in all, the new Pure Aero has become more user-friendly and faster without losing its DNA. Furthermore, this version is now more suitable for a wider audience/wider range of playing styles, although it naturally still works particularly well for the aggressive baseliner.
