Playing characteristics Babolat Pure Strike 97:

The Pure Strike 97 is the ultimate control racket from the French brand! The racket has a slim profile, a low balance point, a more control-oriented 16×20 stringing pattern and a relatively low RA. All this in a 97 sq/inch head size on 310 grams unstrung. With this racket you get what you put in! Don't expect free (service) power or the like. With this racket you will have to deliver yourself. But if you do that/have the technique and/or muscles for it, you will get great control, predictability and ball feel in return. The racket plays super predictably and consistently and is more stable (especially with balls higher in the head) compared to its predecessor the Pure Strike VS. Due to the low balance point (the leather base grip makes it complete!) the racket can be positioned wonderfully quickly.

From the baseline this results in easy rackethead speed and surprisingly much spin for a typical control racket. At the net the racket is super maneuverable. Again: you will have to deliver yourself in terms of technique and/or power through a full swing. If you do this, however, then this is a very nice weapon full of control, consistency and speed!
