For this racket, Adidas uses the Power Extra Grip. This extended grip provides more leverage and therefore more power in your shots. The updated core of the racket provides improved stability and therefore more control. You can now also remove or add extra weight to both the bottom of the blade as well as the top of the blade. On the 2024 version, this was only possible around the core of the racket. In that regard, you can now customize the racket much more!

This racket comes with a luxury cover and separate top tape protective tape that you can apply yourself if desired.

Playing characteristics and technology:

This racket has a wonderfully fast feel due to the slightly lower balance point. The racket is very quick to position, which is nice both at the net and from the back of the court. The racket has a soft touch, providing excellent control over the ball. However, the energy you put in is what you get out. The foam is super responsive in that regard. Chiquitas and shots based on feel go very well, but the racket also has plenty of put-away power when the ball really needs to be finished. Furthermore, the racket feels very stable at ball impact.

For the Adidas Metalbone CTRL 2026, the brand uses carbon aluminized 2 to 1 in the face. This production process, in which carbon fibers are interwoven with aluminum, provides extra power but also low flex. The face does not feel too tinny or hard, which many competitors in this segment unfortunately do. In addition, it also reinforces the face: it is simply stronger and more durable. Another notable feature is the type of foam used for this racket. It is a soft performance foam for extra energy return to the ball, more touch, and more comfort. Besides the well-known carbon aluminized 2 to 1, the face is reinforced with 16k carbon.

Furthermore, this racket has the well-known customization option by means of the weights on the side of the face, but now also at the 12 o'clock position. This allows you to tune a total of 11.2 grams on your racket, letting you play with both the weight and the balance. For this, a special key is provided with this racket. As well as a separate protection strip (top tape) and a bag for the racket. The rough 'Spin Blade' surface for extra grip on the ball completes it all.
