The Shift 99 V1 is fast and comfortable. The racket has a swingweight of 317, but feels lighter. The racket plays more stable than a Clash, but has some of the soft touch of the Clash. The Shift 99 is not as solid as a Blade, but is more forgiving. All in all, a really different playing feel than we know from the other Wilson racket families. Wilson did not really have a racket family for spin and this Shift series should change that. With somewhat flatter strokes, the racket feels solid and stable. With a somewhat deeper grip for spin, the racket bends a bit more, so that the rotation comes even easier. It is a very special feeling that you have to experience for yourself. As mentioned, the racket is quite comfortable, but more of a 'competition racket' in terms of performance compared to a Clash. All in all, the Wilson Shift 99 is a racket with a unique playing feel and with unique looks!

De Shift 99 V1 is snel en comfortabel. Het racket heeft een swingweight van 317, maar voelt lichter aan. Het racket speelt stabieler dan een Clash, maar heeft wel wat van de softe touch van de Clash. De Shift 99 is niet zo solide als een Blade, maar wel weer vergevingsgezinder. Al met al echt een ander speelgevoel dan we kennen van de andere Wilson racketfamilies. Wilson had niet echt een racketfamilie voor spin en daar moet deze Shift serie verandering in gaan brengen. Bij wat vlakkere slagen voelt het racket degelijk en stabiel. Bij een wat diepere greep voor spin buigt het racket als het ware wat meer mee, waardoor de rotatie er nog wat makkelijker vanaf komt. Het is een heel apart gevoel wat je zelf moet ervaren. Zoals gezegd is het racket behoorlijk comfortabel, maar wel meer een 'wedstrijdracket' qua performance vergeleken met een Clash. Al met al is de Wilson Shift 99 een racket met een uniek speelgevoel én met unieke looks!
