The Babolat RPM Blast has long been one of the better strings for spin and control. The RPM Blast is octagonal. This 'angled' construction provides extra ball bite. The special 'Cross Linked Silicone' coating of the string ensures that the longitudinal strings easily slide out of position and then immediately snap back into position. This extra snapback, as it is so beautifully called, provides extra ball rotation/spin! The solid core of the string contributes to ball control. The Babolat RPM Blast is a medium-stiff co-polyester string. It is advisable to string this string at least 10% lighter than average.
