Technology and playing characteristics Wilson RF 01:

For this completely new racket family, Wilson has used a number of familiar, but also a number of new technologies. New is the Glide Guard bumper, where the bumper guard and other grommets and therefore also the strings are, as it were, in the frame. This makes the frame glide through the air even more easily. Feel Fill is a special foam that is injected into the frame for extra damping. Wilson also calls this a SABR frame: the racket is super streamlined for fast and versatile play. Braid 45 has remained: some graphite fibers are placed at a 45-degree angle in the material lay-up. This should ensure more stability and energy in the ball.

All this results in a wonderfully control-oriented racket at 300 grams. A heavier Pro version of 320 grams is also available for this racket, but this weight is certainly not playable for everyone. That is why this RF 01 of 300 grams can be a bull's eye for Wilson. Wonderful classic control in a modern jacket, but then at a weight of 300 grams, which is doable for many more players. Compared to the popular Wilson Blade 98 16×19 V9, this RF 01 is crisper and more direct, but also slightly less forgiving. You get what you put in, so to speak, and for that, just like with its heavier brother, you will need to bring a good basic technique. However, if you have this, this racket is super direct and predictable with a great mix of speed, solid spin and controlled power!
