The Shift 99 V1 is fast and comfortable. The racket has a swingweight of 317, but feels lighter. The racket plays more stable than a Clash, but has some of the soft touch of the Clash. The Shift 99 is not as solid as a Blade, but is more forgiving. All in all, a really different playing feel than we know from the other Wilson racket families. Wilson did not really have a racket family for spin and this Shift series should change that. With somewhat flatter strokes, the racket feels solid and stable. With a somewhat deeper grip for spin, the racket bends a bit more, so that the rotation comes even easier. It is a very special feeling that you have to experience for yourself. As mentioned, the racket is quite comfortable, but more of a 'competition racket' in terms of performance compared to a Clash. All in all, the Wilson Shift 99 is a racket with a unique playing feel and with unique looks!
