Playing characteristics of the Yonex EZONE 98 Blast Blue 2025:

As is typical for Yonex, the new EZONE rackets are packed with more than enough technical features. For 2025, Yonex's most important racket family is the EZONE, so an update was overdue! This is already version 8 of the EZONE. New in this update is an enlarged sweetspot, thanks to an adjustment to the Isometric head shape: the top flat section has been widened. In addition, the frame thickness at the top of the head has also been adjusted. The frame is slightly thicker here for extra power. The 'inside' of the frame tapers a little more for better ball pocketing, which benefits power and spin. Furthermore, the biggest adjustment is in the shaft/the heart of the racket. Minolon has been used in the graphite lay-up here. This material provides a smooth and comfortable feel on ball impact. Together with the well-known VDM (Vibration Dampening Mesh) in the handle/grip, this provides extra comfort.

The EZONE 98 Blast Blue offers controlled power and a sweetspot that feels more generous than that of an average 98 sq/inch racket. The racket also offers outstanding comfort. Our extensive review of this racket will follow shortly!
