For this completely new racket family, Wilson has used a number of familiar, but also a number of new technologies. New is the Glide Guard bumper, where the bumper guard and other grommets and therefore also the strings are, as it were, in the frame. This makes the frame shave through the air even easier. Feel Fill is a special foam that is injected into the frame for extra damping. Wilson also calls this a SABR frame: the racket is super streamlined for fast and versatile play. Braid 45 has remained: some graphite fibers are placed at a 45-degree angle in the material lay-up. This should ensure more stability and energy in the ball.

At 320 grams, this RF 01 Pro has clearly become a bit more accessible than the RF97 that Federer ended his career with.
