The Shift 99 V1 is fast and comfortable. The racket has a swingweight of 317, but feels lighter. The racket plays more stable than a Clash, but still has some of the soft touch of the Clash. The Shift 99 is not as solid as a Blade, but is more forgiving. All in all, it really offers a different feel than we are used to with the other Wilson racket families. Wilson didn't really have a racket family for spin, and this Shift series is meant to change that. On flatter shots, the racket feels solid and stable. With a slightly deeper grip for spin, the racket bends along with the shot a bit more, making it even easier to generate rotation. It has a very distinct feel that you have to experience for yourself. As mentioned, the racket is quite comfortable, but offers more 'tournaments racket' performance compared to a Clash. All in all, the Wilson Shift 99 is a racket with a unique feel and unique looks!
