The Shift 99L has Wilson's unique new Frame Bending Technology. On flatter strokes the racket feels nice and stable and consistent, on strokes with more spin (and a deeper grip) the racket bends as it were to give extra rotation to the ball. With this Wilson now also has a real racket family for spin! At 285 grams the Shift 99L is a nice option for the better youth player or for someone who is looking for speed and spin in a racket. The racket has a swingweight of 311 which makes it wonderfully fast to get around. The 16x20 stringing pattern provides a bit of additional control to guide the spin in the right direction.
