Playing characteristics Yonex EZONE 98 Espresso Brown:

As we have come to expect from Yonex, the new EZONE rackets are packed with plenty of technical features. For 2025, Yonex's primary racket family, the EZONE, was due for an update! This is already the 8th version of the EZONE. New in this update is an enlarged sweetspot, achieved through an adjustment to the Isometric head shape: the upper flat section has been widened. Additionally, the frame thickness in the upper part of the head has been adjusted. The frame is slightly thicker here for extra power. The 'inside' of the frame tapers more again for increased ball pocketing, which benefits both power and spin. Furthermore, the biggest change is in the shaft/throat area of the racket. Minolon has been used here in the graphite lay-up. This material provides a smooth and comfortable feel at ball impact. Together with the well-known VDM (Vibration Dampening Mesh) in the handle/grip, this ensures extra comfort.

The EZONE 98 Espresso Brown offers controlled power and a sweetspot that feels more generous than that of an average 98 sq/inch racket. The racket also provides excellent comfort.
