The Yonex Muse 100 offers a unique combination of comfort, speed, power and ease of play like Yonex has never before brought together in a racket. According to Yonex, the Muse is "the most user-friendly tennis racket in Yonex history", which came about after 5 years of development.
A number of things immediately stand out about the Muse 100: for one, the racket has a special 'Energy Flow Shaft'. The Energy Flow Shaft is a control-oriented shaft that efficiently transfers power with an easy-to-control feel, despite its slim profile. The carefully designed concave shape balances stiffness and flexibility and is enhanced by Servo Filter — an elastic and strong adhesive material that dampens vibrations and refines the ball feel. Together, these elements ensure smooth power and stable control during every rally. If you look at the frame from the side, you will see a very slim shaft that widens into a broader profile in the head and at the top of the racket for more power and stability. The slim shaft provides a smooth, forgiving playing feel.
In addition to the characteristic Isometric head shape - which increases the effective hitting zone for the ball - the Yonex Muse 100 makes use of Uniform Impact Grommets. These grommets (through which both the length and cross strings pass) are located at the four corners of the frame and have a unique straight grommet structure. This results in an enlarged sweetspot and thus also in a more even and forgiving response for both pure and off-center shots, which increases comfort and control during rallies.
