The Wilson Clash V2 is coming! This 2nd version of the successful Clash racket family brings a small technical update, some interesting changes in specifications of the heavier models and a very sleek new look.

Intro

The first Clash series from Wilson was a great success. We also tested it extensively and with great pleasure. Read the reviews of the Clash 100 and 100 Pro , previously called 100 Tour, here again. The Clash series stands for a soft, comfortable playing feel (very arm-friendly!), power and spin. Now it's time for the Clash V2! For the Clash V2, Wilson uses the Braid 45 technology as it is also used in the latest Pro Staff and Blade series. This technology is located in the hoop (the top) of the racket blade. The carbon fibers are 'braided' at a 45 degree angle for more stability higher up in the blade and for more ball pocketing/connection with the ball. This is actually the most important technical update of the Clash V2.

The Clash 98 V2 and Clash 100 Pro V2 get a 16x20 stringing pattern instead of 16x19. This for more control and less extreme freedom of movement of the strings for more consistency. Just like with the latest Blade V8 series, Wilson uses a 'Color Shifting Paint'. This gives the racket a very chic shine. Another nice detail is that the racket name 'Clash' is pressed into the frame at the heart piece (see image below). First findings and reviews

The first sounds are that the Clash V2 offers an even softer playing feel than version 1. So the excellent comfort has definitely remained. Due to the addition of Braid 45 you should also experience a little more ball feel. But time to experience this yourself of course.
