The New Head Extreme 2022 Racket Family: All Info!
Coming soon is the new Head Extreme 2022 racket family, a series of rackets that revolves around maximum spin and performance. Here are all the details about these new spinning monsters, including the models and specifications.
Introduction
In September 2022, the Extreme racket line will get a makeover. Just like other Head racket families, such as the Boom and Speed, the Auxetic technology is now also applied in the new frames. This technology offers an improved feel and ball control because the ball seems to 'stick' in the string bed a little longer before it is released with a lot of speed and energy. In addition to Auxetic, the Extreme line also contains the well-known Graphene material, which provides extra stability and power in the racket.
In addition, the line-up has been simplified: the Extreme Pro and Extreme PWR have disappeared from the collection. The remaining models have been arranged more clearly, making it easier to choose the right racket.
Technology
- Auxetic Technology: This innovation, applied around the yoke, offers better ball control and more energy transfer. The ball stays in the string bed longer, which provides extra control and speed with every shot.
- Graphene: Reinforces the frame for greater stability and strength.
- Spin Shaft & Spin Grommets: The Extreme racquets are designed for maximum spin. The special Spin Shaft and Spin Grommets allow for more freedom of movement of the main strings, which results in extra snapback and spin.
- Open Stringing Pattern: Each model has a 16x19 stringing pattern for extra grip on the ball. On the Extreme Tour this pattern is slightly more compact for more control.

Conclusion
With the arrival of the new Head Extreme 2022 line, Head is launching rackets specifically designed for players looking for maximum spin. The addition of Auxetic technology, combined with Graphene, makes these rackets not only powerful but also stable and controlled. Each model offers something different, from the control-oriented Extreme Tour to the light and agile Extreme Team L .
Comprehensive reviews of the Head Extreme Tour 2022 and the MP version will follow soon. I am curious whether the Auxetic technology also works in this racket family for an even more refined playing feel with better control over the ball.
