Made with a unique molecular structure to enhance ball rotation, the Wilson Revolve 16 delivers tremendous traction for extra topspin and ultra-precise slices. Wilson already strings its SPIN rackets such as the Burn 100S and the Blade 98S with this string as standard, which indicates that this string also performs very well (as in durability and tension retention) in rackets with open stringing patterns.
This soft polyester string provides a comfortable, soft but solid feel and is very precise/predictable in full swings. When comparing the Wilson Revolve 16 to the hexagonal Luxilon Savage Black spinning string, the Revolve provides easier access to spin on defensively hit balls.
Tension retention of both strings is comparable and very good. Compared to another well-known spinning string on the market, namely the Völkl Cyclone, the Wilson Revolve 16 gives a bit more ball pocketing (the ball is more captured in the strings), which makes the ball a bit easier to grip in the stringing. This is partly because the string (strung at the same number of kilograms) comes off the stringing machine a bit less tight, which has the advantage of a longer ball/string contact moment and therefore more spin and slice. The power and control of both strings are comparable.
The Wilson Revolve 16 stringing is available in white, black and orange, in both individual sets and coils of 200 meters (good for approximately 17/18 stringings).
